If you have concerns that your child has, or may have, a condition that affects their learning, you may request an appointment with Mrs. Wiggins, our Special Educational Needs and Disability Co-ordinator to talk through ways the school can help you and your child and offer support.
If you have a child with a medical condition or a specific need, in the first instance you will need to inform your child's class teacher. If your child has a diagnosed medical condition please speak to Mrs Balfe and, if necessary, fill out a permission form for any medication.
If your child has been prescribed medicine by a doctor that needs to be taken in school hours, you may like to talk to Mrs. Balfe about the dosage / instructions. A medical form MUST legally be filled in and signed before any member of staff can give medicine to a child. Medicines can only be given in the dosage stated on the label and school staff must be aware of any previous administration in order to ensure the medicine is given at the correct time.
Any information shared remains strictly confidential and we would appreciate as much information as possible in order to ensure we can best meet your child's individual needs.
