In December, a number of KS2 children took part in the Christmas Spectacular

at Buxton Leisure Centre. We selected a number of Year 3 and 4 children to take

part in the Swimming Spectacular where children competed as members of Team

Elf! They took part in a number of individual races and relays before getting in

the festive mood with a splashy play around in the water.

Two teams of Year 5 and 6 children competed in a Boccia competition as well as

having a go at hurling. They even managed to squeeze in enough time for a snow

ball fight. Lauren Ochalek was commended by the event's organisers for her

sportsmanship and sensibleness.

Children were even visited by Father Christmas and his elves!
