St. Anne's Catholic Voluntary Academy

 Our Ghanaian Visitor

The Reception topic is ‘Why do zebras have stripes?’

A man called John, originating from Ghana came to talk about Ghana and his culture. He read stories and he answered lots of questions. John talked about the food and animals and demonstrated and told the children about the talking drums and his traditional clothes.

He taught the children an African game, explained the meanings of the flag and we all discovered our Ghanaian names.

Thank you John and Mrs Asante for all of your help. We loved it!
